SWITCH MODE RECTIFIERS

The Air Cooled Rectifier utilize high frequency switching (20KHz) through Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) by means of pulse width modulation control.

Digital isolated user interface allows configuration to each client unique requirements.

The unit, being small and compact, combined with the ability to be controlled remotely, wall or foot mount, allow the installation of these units in a smaller, isolated airconditioned room closer to the electrowinning cells. In the application where the unit requires to be installed next to the electrowinning cell (harsh environment) the hood section are interchangeable with a sealed hood that would then be connected through a ventilation manifold that supplies fresh, filtered air.

The major advantage the air-cooled unit has above its oil cooled SCR counterpart is the improved power efficiency, fast response time and low ripple.
